This year our Lowell dome and telescope is turning 50. Join us at the Perth Observatory from 4:30 pm to 6 pm for guided day tours of the Lowell dome, and see where the Astronomers worked! You’ll also be able to take a walk back through time as you meander through our museum and see special displays showcasing some of the technology used when the Lowell telescope was first in use including its photographs and discoveries.

Then join us at the Lesmurdie Club from 6 pm as dinner will be available for purchase and learn about all the amazing things the telescope has accomplished in its 50 years from 7 pm as past Lowell Astronomer Peter Birch, sheds some light on what it was like to work at the Lowell back in “the good old days”.
