Need a bit of thrill in your life? Perth Observatory is teaming up with Spacechameleon Adventure Co to organise a night where people can abseil our Lowell Telescope Dome. Each participant will get 3 abseils and we’ll also have some of our telescope domes open so you can gaze at the Moon, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. The Dome is approximately 20m high and you’ll abseil through a trap door and descend its full length with a controlled free fall all the way to the ground. You can also abseil upside down  just like Tom Cruise if you choose to do so ;).

Both abseiling and climbing challenge your primal fears, with falling being the most primal of all. You’ll learn how to apply the rational mind to understand irrational fears, leads to a greater level of control in many other aspects of day-to-day life. Spacechameleon Adventure Co caters for beginners as well as adrenaline junkies

The event will go ahead rain or shine and we do require a minimum number of 18 people to do this event. If we don’t reach the minimum number of people 48 hours before the tour we will contact you and we’ll issue you a full refund.
